The millions of angst-ridden teens who lapped up Nirvana’s Nevermind are now comfortably in the their thirties with disposable income to blow on nostalgia and myth. This customary double-disc deluxe edition boosts a healthy wealth of unreleased nuggets – studio demos from April 1990 show how focused Kurt Cobain’s spontaneous-sounding arrangements were a good year before recording, while muddy boombox rehearsal tapes are strangely voyeuristic, but add little to unravelling the creative process.
